African Violets

This is a photo of my African Violets back in June of this year:


And these are pictures of them now:



My question: why are the flowers so very white, with hardly any "violet" left on them at all?

  1. have you repotted since the summer? there may have been minerals in the soil that are now gone.

  2. I did repot since then, but kept the original soil plus adding more. I've also started watering from the bottom instead of the top, and they've been getting much more direct sun than they had previously. There are many variables. :D
