I made pizza yesterday.
First, I mixed up and kneaded the dough. Then, while it was rising in the microwave (it was off, of course), I went for a walk/jog. After I returned and took a shower, it was time to punch it down, preheat the oven and pizza stone, and start making the toppings. Here's how it went down:
Roll or press dough into desired size/shape. Roll up the edge to make a crust. |
Spread on the sauce (mine is unseasoned). |
Add Italian spices, shredded mozzarella cheese, caramelized onions, fried mushrooms, and garlic. |
Shred some more cheese and put it on, because cheese is good. Brush the crust with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic salt and some more Italian seasonings. |
Very, very carefully, transfer from table to pizza stone in the oven. I used parchment paper to do this, as I don't have a pizza peel. Try not to burn yourself on the oven or the racks.
Discover that you should have measured the pizza stone-- your pizza has too great of a diameter. Decide not to care.

It barely fits inside the largest (16") circle. Partly because it seems the crust unrolled itself. |
Aha, a cooling rack! |
Cut a slice and enjoy! |
